Mackinac Island Michigan is unique - it harkens back to a bygone day, with historic Victorian architecture, horse-drawn carriages (no cars allowed) and picturesque natural beauty.  But to me, the lake is the real story.  Lake Huron is pristine, looking far more like a tropical locale than something just miles from Canada!  The view from its rocky shoreline is stunning!  Any place water is in view, a sense of calm prevails, and even while painting water, I feel much more at ease and tranquil.  This painting is for anyone who craves that kind of serenity!
